twillo-Thursday Spotlight: Rights of use and open licensing
Event content
Target group
For those interested in OER
Topic & procedure
The twillo-Thursday is the open online consultation hour about Open Educational Resources (#OERde). Every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., you can discuss your questions with our lawyer and the support team in person - directly and without registration. With the twillo-Thursday Spotlight, the existing offer is extended by a short, thematically focused legal input. Every 1st Thursday of the month, there will be a 15-minute short presentation on current legal issues selected by the community.
The topic of the first twillo-Thursday Spotlight is "Rights of use for open licensing". In a practical short input from our lawyer, you will learn which rights are required to openly license a work or to use third-party works in OER. Both legal (e.g. the right to quote) and contractual usage options and their requirements are explained.
