More and more academic institutions aim to foster openness and seek to set a positive example for their educators and other stafthat they promote and endorese the creation and sharing of Open Educational Resoures (OER) actively through provideing clear guidelines. But what content should such an OER-policy have? What legal aspects are crucial to consider? And which stakeholders should be involved, so that a policy's implementation is widely supported and not condemned to reamin a mere declaration of intent? Utilizing existing templates provided by twillo -- such as our policy draft and our policy kit -- we'll introduce the crucial steps of developing an OER-policy for your institution.
