Topic & procedure

twillo is a guest at the Hochscule Merseburg on November 20th, 2025 to conduct an online workshop on OER-policies. This workshop is part of Hochschule Merseburg’s event series “Lehre und Lernen im Blick” from November 17th to the 28th, 2025. More and more academic institutions aim to foster openness and seek to set a positive example for their educators and other stafthat they promote and endorese the creation and sharing of Open Educational Resoures (OER) actively through provideing clear guidelines. But what content should such an OER-policy have? What legal aspects are crucial to consider? And which stakeholders should be involved, so that a policy’s implementation is widely supported and not condemned to reamin a mere declaration of intent? Utilizing existing templates provided by twillo — such as our policy draft and our policy kit — we’ll introduce the crucial steps of developing an OER-policy for your institution. twillo gladly supports this undertaking with two subsequent workshops.
