For those interested in OER
Topic & procedure
The SLUB (Saxon State and University Library Dresden) is a project partner for the dissemination of OER, within the framework of virTUos (virtual teaching and learning at the TU Dresden in an open source context). The virTUos project serves the further development of digitally supported university teaching with the strategic goal of anchoring modern teaching and learning concepts in the curriculum (cf. https://tu-dresden.de/gsw/virtuos).
A symposium with workshops on the dissemination of OER will take place in November - with an insight into existing and successful projects for the dissemination of OER and the practical example of the twillo initiative.
This offers a mixture of a conference with a 2-day guided “hands-on” workshop on the creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) for the project staff and a keynote speech. The public keynote will take place as part of the annual conference of the interdisciplinary joint project virTUos as an evening event. Jöran Muuß-Merholz will address the question:
“OER: here to stay or made redundant by AI?
”
Open Educational Resources and Open Educational Practices (OEP) are important aspects of digital and contemporary teaching. Their time- and location-independent usability and free reusability offer both opportunities and challenges. The event will discuss the status and perspectives of OER and OEP together with experts from politics, university administration and teaching.
