The Media Com­pe­tence Day takes place every two years in Lower Sax­ony. The 9th edi­tion will be held on 13 Novem­ber 2025 at the Kar­riere-Cam­pus con­fer­ence cen­ter in Hanover — orga­nized by the Lower Sax­ony State Insti­tute for School Qual­ity Devel­op­ment (NLQ) and the Lower Sax­ony State Media Author­ity (NLM) in coop­er­a­tion with the state of Lower Sax­ony. Under the motto “Use of dig­i­tal media — between par­tic­i­pa­tion and depen­dency”, the event will address cur­rent issues in dig­i­tal edu­ca­tion and pro­vide impe­tus for media use among young peo­ple.

AI-sup­ported OER — oppor­tu­ni­ties and chal­lenges for con­tem­po­rary teach­ing design

In this inter­ac­tive work­shop, the pos­si­bil­i­ties of using arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence (AI) in the cre­ation and sub­se­quent use of open edu­ca­tional resources (OER) will be exam­ined in a prac­ti­cal way. After a brief intro­duc­tion to the legal frame­work, the focus will be on the poten­tial and chal­lenges of using intel­li­gent sys­tems in teach­ing.

Among other things, ques­tions of qual­ity, the per­son­al­iza­tion of mate­ri­als and effects on cre­ative processes will be dis­cussed. A struc­tured brain­writ­ing phase invites par­tic­i­pants to reflect together.
