Topic & procedure
The Media Competence Day takes place every two years in Lower Saxony. The 9th edition will be held on 13 November 2025 at the Karriere-Campus conference center in Hanover - organized by the Lower Saxony State Institute for School Quality Development (NLQ) and the Lower Saxony State Media Authority (NLM) in cooperation with the state of Lower Saxony. Under the motto "Use of digital media - between participation and dependency", the event will address current issues in digital education and provide impetus for media use among young people.

AI-supported OER - opportunities and challenges for contemporary teaching design
In this interactive workshop, the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the creation and subsequent use of open educational resources (OER) will be examined in a practical way. After a brief introduction to the legal framework, the focus will be on the potential and challenges of using intelligent systems in teaching.
Among other things, questions of quality, the personalization of materials and effects on creative processes will be discussed. A structured brainwriting phase invites participants to reflect together.
