KNOER Conference — Open and Intelligent: Innovative Ways of University Teaching

Event content

Target group

The event is aimed at university staff, teachers, OER enthusiasts, researchers and anyone else who is active or interested in the context of OER and/or the digitalization of university teaching.

Topic & procedure

Under the motto: “Open and Intelligent: Innovative Ways of University Teaching”, the first annual conference with public part of the cooperation network OER-promoting infrastructures and services (KNOER) will take place, see program.

The latest developments in the context of generative artificial intelligence show that digital technologies have great potential for searching, jointly creating, revising and sharing open educational resources (OER). The creation and use of open educational resources in the sense of Open Educational Practices (OEP) in turn promotes cooperation across universities and countries, breaks up existing structures with the aim of openess and supports contemporary, open teaching-learning arrangements. In this way, OER can be used to pave the way for innovative approaches to university teaching in a variety of ways.
The event will address current and relevant developments in the context of OER and OEP in university teaching from various angles, e.g. from practical or strategic university perspectives.

The keynote speech on Monday is entitled “AI and openness — a classification in the context of the digital transformation of university teaching”. This will be followed by workshops and a fishbowl discussion. On Tuesday, the focus will be on an international perspective on artificial intelligence and openness. The keynotes at the beginning and end of the conference can also be followed online (in case of online participation, please also register).
