How to easily create animated videos: Rigging for OER
Event content
Target group
Teachers and educational staff, university employees, and students who are interested in creating OER-compliant videos.
Topic & procedure
Want to create OER-compliant videos with animated characters, but don’t have any professional experience in video animation? Then you’ve come to the right place.
In this tooltime, we introduce the animation technique known as rigging. This involves equipping illustrated figures with a digital “framework” so that individual body parts can be moved and animated without having to redraw each movement. This makes it easy to create animated characters for OER-compliant videos, even without professional video production experience. You will learn how to create lively educational videos for teaching with minimal effort.
In addition to technical and design-related aspects, you will also learn what needs to be considered from a legal perspective when using the respective tools.
