Documentation and knowledge transfer — training workshop

Event content

Target group

All LeNie activists, teachers and educational staff, university employees and students who are interested in the topic of OER.

Topic & procedure

Together with the Low German Teaching Network (LeNie), the topic of "Documentation and knowledge transfer" will be addressed in a further training workshop.

As an inter-university network that has been working together in various forms since 2018, LeNie focuses on the cooperative, digital teaching of the regional language Low German with the aim of strengthening the training of future teachers (see website of the University of Greifswald).

This online event is about practice and sharing. A particular focus is on the twillo portal and the sharing workflow - especially for publishing your own Open Educational Resources (OER). You will learn about the characteristics and added value of open educational materials and reflect on their opportunities and challenges. You will also learn more about the international OER search index OERSI. The session will allow you to try things out hands-on together. Finally, we will take a closer look at practical questions about OER and the functions of twillo in a FAQ format on open educational materials.

Focal points

  • get to know the www.twillo.de portal (and try it out hands-on)
  • Key features of Open Educational Resources (OER)
  • Functions of the OER portal twillo
  • Publishing your own works as OER on twillo

OER are open educational materials that can be used free of charge. As they allow adaptation to specific teaching and learning contexts and (collaborative) further development, OER can support the design of educational programs. The creation and publication of OER offers the opportunity to make one's own work visible in the academic community. At the same time - similar to open access publications - access to education is improved and an open teaching/learning culture is promoted.

Speakers

  • Dr. David Stöllger (twilloHub, Technische Informationsbibliothek)
  • Noreen Krause (Project management twillo, Technical Information Library)
