This year's eSAlSA annual conference will take place at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences on the Köthen campus. eSALSA is a joint project of eight universities in Saxony-Anhalt. The conference focuses on “Applications and challenges of digital teaching in practice” and accordingly, lectures and practical workshops will be offered on the topics of OER, AI and electronic examinations as well as didactic methods. twillo will be holding both a keynote speech and a face-to-face workshop.
The keynote addresses the topic of Open Educational Resources (OER) in the context of higher education in Germany. Using the example of the twillo.de initiative as a central point of contact and competence center, transnational activities such as twilloHub and the international search index OERSI will be presented. In addition to an overview of the current status, insights into practice will be shared and current developments and cooperation networks will be presented (focus on Germany / DACH region).
The face-to-face workshop is aimed at participants with little or no prior knowledge of open educational resources (OER) and the twillo.de portal. The event provides a basic understanding of the importance of open educational materials using best-practice examples and offers insights into different CC licenses. In addition, an overview of twillo's functions will be given and it will be explained how search strategies can be used effectively.
