Network meeting AI in open teaching
Event content
Target group
The network is aimed at university lecturers, primarily from Lower Saxony, who have already gained initial experience with AI - regardless of how professional or basic their use has been to date. People from higher education didactics who would like to take the topic further for teaching are also cordially invited.
Topic & procedure
With the EU AI regulation, the promotion of AI skills in university teaching is increasingly coming into focus. The AI in Open Teaching network meeting offers a space for exchange with a focus on university didactics - practical, open to discussion and with a view to specific application scenarios.
Next date
The next network meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 08, 2025, from 14:00-15:30 (online). The focus will be on the practical use of AI-supported tools in teaching - probably with a data protection-compliant example from the field of chatbots.
Further information on the program will follow.
Launched with 40 perspectives in May
Around 40 people from teaching and university didactics came together at the kick-off meeting on May 27. After a legal introduction to the new EU AI regulation, the participants worked in interactive groups on the topics of teaching staff, students, funding and implementation. Initial theses and perspectives were developed on how universities can deal with the new requirements and strengthen open teaching in the process.
