Due to the mandate of inclusion, heterogeneous classes are omnipresent in schools today. With a focus on supporting the learning and social-emotional development of learners, the project is creating OER materials that can be used in future for all teacher training courses as optional teaching and learning opportunities. They are primarily intended for use in teaching, but are also suitable for self-study.
The project develops scientifically based videos, podcasts and texts (“products”) on various key topics (“packages”). They support university lecturers in discussing how to successfully deal with the complexity of teaching in an interdisciplinary manner with prospective teachers.
The packages include the following topics:
- Good teaching
This is a cross-curricular topic about what constitutes “good teaching”. What needs to be considered? What helps to make it a success? - Inclusive education
Inclusion is a mega-topic and omnipresent. What does this mean for teaching? What aspects need to be considered? And how can inclusive education be organized in our schools? - Learners’ needs
In addition to the technical learning requirements, learners’ social and emotional skills must also be taken into account and appropriately supported. What needs exist and how can they be identified? And how can we meet them?
An advisory team of experts and trials with university lecturers, teaching staff and students guarantee the high quality of the products.
Publication of the first products is planned for early 2022 on Twillo under the keyword “OER teacher training”. The team is happy to receive queries and comments on the materials at oer-lkb@uni-oldenburg.de.
