This blog post gives you an overview of the aims and content of an OER tandem project between the University of Oldenburg and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.

As a tandem project, the Center for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at the University of Oldenburg is participating together with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in the project “Open Educational Resources for Education and Science Management in the Context of Digitalization” funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK).

As part of the project duration (12/2020 — 04/2022), numerous OER on the topic of “higher education, education and science management” will be developed and published on the twillo portal.

The starting point for the OER is a selection of existing study materials from the part-time Master’s degree programs “Education and Science Management” (C3L/University of Oldenburg) and “Higher Education and Science Management” (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences). These study scripts will be prepared as OER, rearranged and expanded to include further thematically appropriate OER.

In this way, numerous learning units on the topics of “strategic management”, “cost and financial management”, “quality management” and “approaches to internet-based learning / methods and models of digital education” are created. Each of these learning units has a large number of OER of varying granularity (didactic instructions, guidelines, (teaching) videos, case studies, tasks to monitor learning success, open access sources, glossaries, literature collections, etc.).

The designed learning units offer comprehensive and multifaceted compilations on the respective subject areas and can be easily reused by teachers and other employees in the educational and scientific context. However, members of educational and scientific institutions as well as students and interested parties are also invited to use the learning units to acquire knowledge independently or to obtain ideas for their own teaching concepts. The OER are intended for use in both formal and informal contexts.
