Focus of the Initiative
The funded projects came from different disciplines and covered a wide range of topics. They were primarily aimed to
- implement a university-wide strategy for innovation in teaching,
- introduce new university teaching concepts and measures,
- develop or implement new teaching methods for “large-scale” classes,
- develop concepts for dealing with the increasing diversity of student cohorts,
- promote internationalization and interdisciplinarity in teaching,
- strengthen the practical relevance of undergraduate courses,
- implement digital teaching and learning methods,
- integrate research into teaching,
- introduce innovative and/or competency-based forms of assessment, or
- promote self-directed and inquiry-based learning.
Publication of the project results on twillo
The experiences and concepts gained from the projects were evaluated by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA). The results of the evaluation served as a basis for the project managers to compile a project report, which they could send to the twillo team if they wanted it to be published.
In order to ensure the sustainability of the project ideas beyond the funding period, make them accessible to other teachers, and enable their use in other contexts, the project teams were also given the opportunity to share the project materials they had developed on twillo.
The following table provides an overview of the projects that have decided to publish their project results and/or materials.
