Funding for student assistant positions: TIB’s eTrainer funding enters its second round

Start

In cooperation with the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK), the Technische Informationsbibliothek Hannover (TIB) is once again awarding funds to finance student assistants for the winter semester 2021/2022.
The funding is intended to relieve lecturers in the time-consuming organization of online courses and at the same time promote the openness of higher education courses.

Scope of funding, application and award modalities

For the second round of funding in 2021, the TIB and MWK eTrainer Fund has funds of around €40,000 available. The maximum individual volume to be applied for is €3,600.

Funding is open to all subject areas and disciplines. All full-time lecturers at state-run universities in Lower Saxony are eligible to apply. Funding is obtained via a short application.

The following conditions must be met for approval:

  • Development of digital teaching/learning units that can be transferred to other (teaching) contexts and reused by other teachers due to their open licensing,
  • Publication of the developed educational material on twillo,
  • Support the participation of funded support staff in the train-the-trainer program Online teaching, promote openness

The deadline for submission is August 15, 2021.
The review, assessment and allocation of funds will be carried out in the order in which they are received: Applications will be processed in chronological order of receipt. The call for funding ends when the total available funding has been exhausted.
