This is particularly true in the area of university teaching and therefore the production of teaching and learning materials. Since it has become possible to create teaching and learning materials at the touch of a button with just a few prompts, and since this content is then also considered a public domain work - unless creative prompt chains and independent reworking reach a level of creativity that establishes an individual copyright - questions have arisen about the impact of these developments on open educational resources (OER):

Will teaching and learning materials be generated primarily by generative AI tools in the future?

If so, do we still need CC licenses if AI-generated content is largely in the public domain?

In this case, are OER repositories still the right places to store this public domain content in the long term, or will open LMSs increasingly be used for this?

What contribution can OER and corresponding repositories make to open education in the future?

Or are OER possibly the ideal basis for copyright-compliant training of LLMs or enrichment via RAG solutions to help improve the quality of AI-generated content?

And how can the use of AI promote the development and dissemination of OER?

We want to address these and other questions in lightning talks and an in-depth discussion between Dr. Sandra Schön and PD.
