In addi\u00adtion to the fields of AI and sus\u00adtain\u00adabil\u00adity, the focus was on OER, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlarly on Thurs\u00adday (with lec\u00adtures and the OER slam) and Fri\u00adday (with the bar\u00adcamp). <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let\u2019s turn the heat up to three right away!<\/h2>\n\n<p>Under this motto, Prof. Dr. Ker\u00adstin Mayr\u00adberger put for\u00adward the fol\u00adlow\u00ading the\u00adsis in her lec\u00adture: \u201cOEP as a col\u00adlec\u00adtive prac\u00adtice cur\u00adrently stands for higher edu\u00adca\u00adtion in (post)digitality \u2014 and is con\u00adstantly devel\u00adop\u00ading in a com\u00adplex envi\u00adron\u00adment\u201d. To this end, she first addressed the range of OEP def\u00adi\u00adn\u00adi\u00adtions \u2014 from broad to nar\u00adrow \u2014 and then explained what is needed for the shift towards a cul\u00adture of shar\u00ading: Par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpa\u00adtion, rela\u00adtion\u00adships, trust, trans\u00adparency, resilience, equity, com\u00admons and sus\u00adtain\u00adabil\u00adity. For exam\u00adple, OER undergo a review process after cre\u00adation. In the new world, trust is placed in the fact that the actors enter the review process right at the begin\u00adning of the OER cre\u00adation process by seek\u00ading advice from their envi\u00adron\u00adment and engag\u00ading in a crit\u00adi\u00adcal exchange with the com\u00admu\u00adnity.    <\/p>\n\n<p>The imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of OEP as a col\u00adlec\u00adtive prac\u00adtice could start with an applied con\u00adcept in the uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties and then be trans\u00adferred to other con\u00adcepts. How\u00adever, the pre\u00advail\u00ading approach of restruc\u00adtur\u00ading 90% accord\u00ading to the old pro\u00adce\u00addure and only 10% accord\u00ading to open\u00adness prin\u00adci\u00adples would not apply. Once every\u00adthing has been ana\u00adlyzed under the OEP lens, the result should be 50\/50. Mayr\u00adberg\u00ader\u2019s prag\u00admatic vision would be for ten coura\u00adgeous insti\u00adtu\u00adtions from dif\u00adfer\u00adent areas of higher edu\u00adca\u00adtion to lead the way with this restruc\u00adtur\u00ading process and demon\u00adstrate con\u00adsis\u00adtent OEP so that oth\u00aders can eas\u00adily fol\u00adlow suit.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OER is the answer \u2014 but what is the question?<\/h2>\n\n<p>In his pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion, Prof. Dr. Daniel Otto took us on a jour\u00adney through time \u201c20 years of OER in Ger\u00admany\u201d and pre\u00adsented var\u00adi\u00adous stud\u00adies on the topic of OER. While the ini\u00adtial focus was often on the atti\u00adtudes of OER activists (result: dri\u00adven by emo\u00adtions), the obsta\u00adcles to the use of OER were later more fre\u00adquently addressed. Based on a meta-study of 272 pub\u00adlished stud\u00adies, Otto showed that less research has been car\u00adried out into the strate\u00adgies of uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties and incen\u00adtive sys\u00adtems for OER. But do we even have an eye on the real\u00adity of OER activists or is there a lot going on below the radar, namely in col\u00adle\u00adgial exchanges at schools and uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties \u2014 the dark reuse hypoth\u00ade\u00adsis?   <\/p>\n\n<p>Look\u00ading back on 20 years of OER, it is at least encour\u00adag\u00ading that the infra\u00adstruc\u00adture, such as the state por\u00adtals, has been expanded. Otto\u2019s con\u00adclu\u00adsion is that OER started as an ide\u00adal\u00adis\u00adtic bot\u00adtom-up move\u00adment and should now very real\u00adis\u00adti\u00adcally be adopted more by uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties as a top-down topic. How\u00adever, this cer\u00adtainly has a chance, as some long-stand\u00ading OER enthu\u00adsi\u00adasts now have a foot in the door through cer\u00adtain posi\u00adtions in the uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties.  <\/p>\n\n<p>After the two pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions, four OER activists entered the OER slam ring. The pro\u00adce\u00addure and in par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar the strict time limit of eight min\u00adutes per pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion pre\u00advented one or two of them from get\u00adting a final punch\u00adline \u2014 but the courage to take on this new for\u00admat was rewarded by the audi\u00adence for all of them. Mar\u00adtin Schultze was able to take the prize money of 500 euros back to Frank\u00adfurt\u2019s Goethe Uni\u00adver\u00adsity.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">See you in 2050<\/h2>\n\n<p>The premises of the Depart\u00adment of Design at HAW Ham\u00adburg were highly inspir\u00ading for the bar\u00adcamp on Fri\u00adday. Some top\u00adics had already been sub\u00admit\u00adted in advance, but as is usual at a bar\u00adcamp, fur\u00adther ideas were spon\u00adta\u00adneously added dur\u00ading <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1SEuGw9EGzZ9Iy3M_dqSEjQHVtJDm4T6YwBUZ5o-KxfA\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ses\u00adsion plan\u00adning<\/a>. There was a wide range of ses\u00adsions, such as the vis\u00adi\u00adbil\u00adity of OER com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adties at uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties, a roadmap for dig\u00adi\u00adtal higher edu\u00adca\u00adtion in 2050 and the legal impli\u00adca\u00adtions of AI-gen\u00ader\u00adated texts and images in OER.  <\/p>\n\n<p>As we are work\u00ading on dif\u00adfer\u00adent aspects of the com\u00adplex topic of open edu\u00adca\u00adtion in the twillo joint project, we con\u00adtributed two ses\u00adsions. Klaus Wan\u00adnemacher pre\u00adsented the <a href=\"https:\/\/medien.his-he.de\/publikationen\/detail\/offene-bildungsinfrastrukturen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study on OER-pro\u00admot\u00ading infra\u00adstruc\u00adtures<\/a>. Accord\u00ading to the study, there are par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar chal\u00adlenges with regard to bet\u00adter net\u00adwork\u00ading of exist\u00ading OER por\u00adtals and tools as well as the estab\u00adlish\u00adment and use of a stan\u00addard vocab\u00adu\u00adlary for teach\u00ading and learn\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals.    <\/p>\n\n<p>In an exten\u00adsive dis\u00adcus\u00adsion round, very dif\u00adfer\u00adent assess\u00adments and sug\u00adges\u00adtions emerged in this ses\u00adsion: Even recent approaches in the field of meta\u00addata for open edu\u00adca\u00adtional mate\u00adri\u00adals hardly stood out due to a pro\u00adnounced didac\u00adtic focus. OER por\u00adtals should facil\u00adi\u00adtate the index\u00ading of OER through appro\u00adpri\u00adate assis\u00adtance func\u00adtions. OER por\u00adtals should also con\u00adsider enter\u00ading into a stronger dia\u00adlog with spe\u00adcial\u00adist cir\u00adcles and pro\u00adfes\u00adsional asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtions. It could also be help\u00adful to actively draw the atten\u00adtion of aca\u00add\u00ade\u00admics to sub\u00adject-related OER.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Axel Klinger\u2019s ses\u00adsion was a lit\u00adtle more tech\u00adni\u00adcal. Based on the key ques\u00adtion of what we can learn from open source devel\u00adop\u00adments, open col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion on edu\u00adca\u00adtional mate\u00adri\u00adals was dis\u00adcussed. With the col\u00adlec\u00adtion in <a href=\"https:\/\/oersi.org\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OERSI<\/a>, con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions about suit\u00adable work\u00ading envi\u00adron\u00adments and par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlarly open for\u00admats (accord\u00ading to the FAIR Data Prin\u00adci\u00adples) became ele\u00admen\u00adtary. Com\u00admon require\u00adments in the devel\u00adop\u00adment of open source soft\u00adware and open edu\u00adca\u00adtional mate\u00adri\u00adals are freely avail\u00adable and openly licensed sources and results, the coor\u00addi\u00adnated joint edit\u00ading of files, as lit\u00adtle depen\u00addence as pos\u00adsi\u00adble on com\u00admer\u00adcial prod\u00aducts and trans\u00adparency about changes and deci\u00adsions in fur\u00adther devel\u00adop\u00adment. GitHub\/GitLab and OERSI already offer a global solu\u00adtion for the cre\u00adation, joint fur\u00adther devel\u00adop\u00adment and open use of open and attrac\u00adtive edu\u00adca\u00adtional mate\u00adri\u00adals in all areas of teach\u00ading.
