In con\u00adnec\u00adtion with a twillo sur\u00advey for the field of eco\u00adnom\u00adics, the vari\u00adety of high-qual\u00adity and free mate\u00adri\u00adals that have been devel\u00adoped at uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties in Lower Sax\u00adony becomes clear. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Initial results of the online survey<\/h2>\n\n<p>In June 2024, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twillo.de\/oer\/web\/ueber-twillo\/\">twillo net\u00adwork<\/a> con\u00adducted a quan\u00adti\u00adta\u00adtive sur\u00advey on the use of Open Edu\u00adca\u00adtional Resources (OER) in the field of eco\u00adnom\u00adics. The aim of the online sur\u00advey of pro\u00adfes\u00adsors and aca\u00add\u00ade\u00admic staff was to <strong>pro\u00admote<\/strong> a <strong>cul\u00adture of open\u00adness at uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties<\/strong> and to fur\u00adther develop exist\u00ading mea\u00adsures of the twillo net\u00adwork for a greater dis\u00adsem\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of OER in teach\u00ading. <\/p>\n\n<p>The online sur\u00advey was aimed at 813 lec\u00adtur\u00aders at 25 pub\u00adlic and pri\u00advate uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties in Lower Sax\u00adony, the fed\u00aderal state in which the OER por\u00adtal twillo is based. The sur\u00advey addressed top\u00adics such as the sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcance and dis\u00adsem\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of open edu\u00adca\u00adtion approaches, prac\u00adti\u00adcal expe\u00adri\u00adences and needs in the field of open teach\u00ading as well as inhibit\u00ading and pro\u00admot\u00ading fac\u00adtors for the pro\u00advi\u00adsion and adap\u00adta\u00adtion of OER in the field of eco\u00adnom\u00adics. <\/p>\n\n<p>The as yet unpub\u00adlished sur\u00advey results show, among other things, a <strong>reluc\u00adtant adap\u00adta\u00adtion of open learn\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals<\/strong> in eco\u00adnom\u00adics \u2014 for exam\u00adple, only 15.5 per\u00adcent of respon\u00addents stated that they were famil\u00adiar with find\u00ading OER at an inter\u00adme\u00addi\u00adate level, while 27.6 per\u00adcent stated that they were \u201c(very) unsure\u201d. At the same time, <strong>some of<\/strong> the open ques\u00adtions for\u00admu\u00adlated <strong>far-reach\u00ading expec\u00adta\u00adtions regard\u00ading the future rel\u00ade\u00advance of open learn\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals<\/strong> for eco\u00adnom\u00adics teach\u00ading. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Analysis of the materials in twillo<\/h2>\n\n<p>In addi\u00adtion to the online sur\u00advey, twillo car\u00adried out an analy\u00adsis of the open teach\u00ading and learn\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals stored in its own OER por\u00adtal. In March 2024, <strong>26 per\u00adcent<\/strong> of the OER included <strong>mate\u00adri\u00adals from the fields of law, eco\u00adnom\u00adics and social sci\u00adences<\/strong> \u2014 the largest block of all sub\u00adject groups. In turn, eco\u00adnom\u00adics is the largest field of study.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Among the 274 eco\u00adnom\u00adics teach\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals avail\u00adable in twillo, mate\u00adri\u00adals cre\u00adated with the sup\u00adport of state fund\u00ading pro\u00adgrams stood out in par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar. In close con\u00adnec\u00adtion with the OER por\u00adtal twillo, the Lower Sax\u00adony Min\u00adistry of Sci\u00adence and Cul\u00adture has announced the fund\u00ading mea\u00adsure \u201cOER for the higher edu\u00adca\u00adtion sec\u00adtor \u2014 pro\u00admot\u00ading the cre\u00adation, main\u00adte\u00adnance and dis\u00adsem\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of open edu\u00adca\u00adtional resources at uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties in Lower Sax\u00adony\u201d between 2020 and 2022. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creation of OER in funded projects<\/h2>\n\n<p>As part of three rounds of calls for pro\u00adpos\u00adals, three projects with close links to eco\u00adnom\u00adics were funded. These are the projects <\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.twillo.de\/edu-sharing\/components\/collections?id=7496d7ad-02e8-43a5-a641-a68dd6c1de60%3F\">Meth\u00adods and tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies for the dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion of busi\u00adness processes in the dig\u00adi\u00adtal trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion<\/a>\u201d (Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Schu\u00admann, Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Hoppe and oth\u00aders, Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties of G\u00f6t\u00adtin\u00adgen and Osnabr\u00fcck; first round of calls)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.twillo.de\/edu-sharing\/components\/collections?id=0e3e0671-2d62-42a5-8d13-677495fc6400\">Cre\u00adat\u00ading and dis\u00adsem\u00adi\u00adnat\u00ading open edu\u00adca\u00adtional resources for busi\u00adness admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion<\/a>\u201d (Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor R\u00f6bken, Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Breisig, Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Fis\u00adcher and oth\u00aders, Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Old\u00aden\u00adburg, Jade Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Applied Sci\u00adences; sec\u00adond round of calls)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.twillo.de\/edu-sharing\/components\/collections?id=29424c9e-3488-44c7-9785-39002fa7aa2e\">Qual\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtive Research Meth\u00adods for Respon\u00adsi\u00adble Man\u00adage\u00adment Edu\u00adca\u00adtion<\/a>\u201d (Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Trit\u00adtin-Ulbrich, Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Wen\u00adzel and oth\u00aders, Leuphana Uni\u00adver\u00adsity; third round of calls).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>A total of <strong>257 free teach\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals<\/strong>, includ\u00ading high-qual\u00adity e\u2011lectures and ani\u00admated teach\u00ading videos, anno\u00adtated slide sets, full texts, dia\u00adgrams and exer\u00adcises, were cre\u00adated in these three projects alone as part of this com\u00admend\u00adable state fund\u00ading mea\u00adsure. The vari\u00adety of sub\u00adjects, top\u00adics, course types, mate\u00adr\u00adial types, didac\u00adtic approaches and lev\u00adels of dif\u00adfi\u00adculty rep\u00adre\u00adsented (see an overview on the twillo web\u00adsite) doc\u00adu\u00adments the extra\u00ador\u00addi\u00adnary influ\u00adence that gov\u00adern\u00adment fund\u00ading pol\u00adicy can have on the avail\u00adable range of high-qual\u00adity free teach\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals. <\/p>\n\n<p>The OER devel\u00adoped as part of the three projects make up \u2014 at least at present \u2014 a sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant pro\u00adpor\u00adtion of the range of eco\u00adnom\u00adics teach\u00ading mate\u00adri\u00adals avail\u00adable on twillo.
