While the hands-on lab on the cre\u00adative and legally com\u00adpli\u00adant use of arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence (AI) in OER cre\u00adation offered prac\u00adti\u00adcal insights, the dis\u00adcus\u00adsion for\u00admat #Freiraum25 encour\u00adaged dis\u00adcus\u00adsion of demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adtic, transna\u00adtional edu\u00adca\u00adtional infra\u00adstruc\u00adtures. With the twillo\u00adHub ini\u00adtia\u00adtive, twillo is con\u00adtribut\u00ading to the devel\u00adop\u00adment of a com\u00admon tech\u00adni\u00adcal and orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtional basis for open edu\u00adca\u00adtional resources in Ger\u00admany. At #Freiraum25, par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants dis\u00adcussed the struc\u00adtural require\u00adments needed to ensure that OER remain vis\u00adi\u00adble, usable and find\u00adable in the long term \u2014 even beyond insti\u00adtu\u00adtional bor\u00adders. It quickly became clear that demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adtic edu\u00adca\u00adtional spaces not only need open con\u00adtent, but also sus\u00adtain\u00adable infra\u00adstruc\u00adtures, clear respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties and close net\u00adwork\u00ading between stake\u00adhold\u00aders.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI as a co-creator for OER \u2014 legally compliant and inspiring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The twillo hands-on lab started with a legal impulse: What legal frame\u00adwork con\u00addi\u00adtions apply to the use of gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtive AI in open uni\u00adver\u00adsity teach\u00ading? What needs to be con\u00adsid\u00adered with regard to copy\u00adright? This was fol\u00adlowed by lively group work in which case stud\u00adies were worked on and dis\u00adcussed together \u2014 often con\u00adtro\u00adver\u00adsially, but always con\u00adstruc\u00adtively. It became par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlarly clear that the use of AI in teach\u00ading is nei\u00adther purely tech\u00adni\u00adcal nor purely legal. It is about didac\u00adtic respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adity, cre\u00adative design and reflec\u00adtive, respon\u00adsi\u00adble prac\u00adtice. Finally, there was a prac\u00adti\u00adcal insight into con\u00adcrete appli\u00adca\u00adtion pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties: How can AI be used to rethink teach\u00ading con\u00adtent \u2014 for exam\u00adple in the form of sim\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions, text vignettes or gen\u00ader\u00adated visu\u00adal\u00adiza\u00adtions? And one thing became par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlarly clear:      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading twillo-margin-top-0\">\u201cAccess is not the problem \u2014 understanding is.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a time when dig\u00adi\u00adtal resources and AI-gen\u00ader\u00adated infor\u00adma\u00adtion are seem\u00adingly avail\u00adable in unlim\u00adited quan\u00adti\u00adties, the real chal\u00adlenge lies in under\u00adstand\u00ading and cat\u00ade\u00adgo\u00adriz\u00ading con\u00adtent and think\u00ading about it together. This requires spaces in which knowl\u00adedge can cir\u00adcu\u00adlate openly \u2014 spaces such as those cre\u00adated by OER. This is pre\u00adcisely the core of our work. Even though the twillo for\u00admats emerged from exist\u00ading work con\u00adtexts, numer\u00adous links to the con\u00adgress motto became appar\u00adent in Bre\u00admen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hands-on lab focused on enabling the inde\u00adpen\u00addent, reflec\u00adtive use of dig\u00adi\u00adtal tools in teach\u00ading \u2014 a con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtion to demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adtic par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpa\u00adtion in edu\u00adca\u00adtional processes. The twillo\u00adHub dis\u00adcus\u00adsion for\u00admat, on the other hand, made it clear that dig\u00adi\u00adtal edu\u00adca\u00adtional infra\u00adstruc\u00adtures are not only of a tech\u00adni\u00adcal nature, but also an expres\u00adsion of social val\u00adues: open\u00adness, acces\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adity, trans\u00adparency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both events showed how libraries and OER ini\u00adtia\u00adtives can work together to cre\u00adate spaces for access, under\u00adstand\u00ading and co-cre\u00adation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Fazit-R\u00e4ume-f\u00fcr-Austausch-Orientierung-und-Gestaltungsfreiheit\">Conclusion: spaces for exchange, orientation and creative freedom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BiblioCon25 has shown how strong the inter\u00adest is in open, tech\u00adnol\u00adogy-sup\u00adported and respon\u00adsi\u00adbly designed edu\u00adca\u00adtional approaches in a plu\u00adral\u00adis\u00adtic soci\u00adety.
