Topic & procedure
In this workshop organized by the European Network of Open Education Librarians (ENOEL) and facilitated by twillo and Surf.nl, we want to examine the challenges, opportunities, and incentives that shape reuse of Open Educational Resources (OER). While the ENOEL is mainly focused on librarians, everyone is welcome to join. The workshop is conducted in English.
OER are great, not only because they can be can be freely accessed and disseminated, but also because they can be reused by anyone with few to any restrictions. But what do we actually know about reusing OE content? In this workshop, we want to examine reuse in its many shapes and forms. What are the preconditions for reuse (e.g, mindset, media & formats, technology & software, logos & branding, metadata)? How can we support and foster reuse? What research is there and what insights can we gain from it?
Sylvia Moes (Surf, Netherlands), David Stöllger (TIB/twillo, Germany) and our guest speaker Harry Stokhof (HAN, Netherlands) provide insights from their unique contexts.
We also what to hear from you! Please feel free to join the interactive discussion on reusing OE content, and share your experiences and insights.
